wet although we did manage to play in sunshine, except those who came in at
the end when it was nearly dark - need to be teeing off a little earlier this
time of year!! It suprises me that with the worst
weather here in years that the courses still charge 'high' season rates in
March when the conditions are so bad. Well done Phil with your first win in
18 months!! |

A
golf handicap is the measurement of golfing ability and allows play against
others on a fair basis. Monday Club handicaps
are adjusted slightly differently from the normal rules to allow more 'fairness' and give more people a chance to
win each week, with 31 different winners in 2009
(& 30 in 2008) things seem to be right; the system will continue to adapt
to meet member's wishes. ALL PUTTS MUST GO IN - NO GIMMIES |

HANDICAP ADJUSTMENTS: +0.4 - 12.4 (+/-
0.2); 12.5 - 20.4 (+/- 0.3); 20.5 - 28
(+/- 0.4). Adjustments made depending on the
CSS with no cuts
for scores of 32 points or below. Handicap
increases will now take account of the Buffer Zone for your category,
so the relevant buffer will be added before an increase is given. NB nett scores for h/caps between 19 and 28 counted as
maximum of 18 for handicap purposes, ie nett score will be a maximum of 3 over par. Note those
who have not obtained a qualifying handicap (3 games) will have maximum of 2
over par to count. |
